Captain Jenn received the very prestigious American Sailing Association’s Outstanding Instructor Award for 2016. This is our Captain’s fourth time being honored with this award – previous years won are 2009, 2010, and 2012. Thanks to our students (a.k.a. Little Pirates) for completing the survey.

ASA’s Outstanding Instructors are selected each year solely because of student surveys. Based on the volume of student feedback received throughout the year, instructors are placed into one of three groups.

The award then goes to the top ten highest average scores in each group. Considering that there are over 2,000 active ASA instructors, this places the Outstanding Instructors in the top 1.2% of their peers for quality education as judged by their own customers. Way to go, Captain Jenn!!

Sunshine Coast Adventures has also been awarded Outstanding School from the American Association of Sailing two years in a row, from 2009 to 2010. For sailing lessons, it just can’t get much better than Sunshine Coast Adventures Sailing School!
