Our Awards
Sunshine Coast Adventures Sailing School has had the honor of winning many awards…
Captain Jenn has received the very prestigious American Sailing Association’s Outstanding Instructor Award for 2016. This is Captain Jenn’s fourth time being honored with this award – previous years won are 2009, 2010, and 2012. Captain Jeff is also a recipient of ASA’s Outstanding Instructor Award.
Sunshine Coast Adventures has also been awarded Outstanding School from the American Association of Sailing two years in a row, from 2009 to 2010. Shortly thereafter, ASA discontinued the Outstanding School Award.
Being given these awards are an incredible honor to us, as ASA’s Outstanding Instructors are selected each year solely because of student surveys. Based on the volume of student feedback received throughout the year, instructors are placed into one of three groups.
The award then goes to the top ten highest average scores in each group. Considering that there are over 2,000 active ASA instructors, this places the Outstanding Instructors in the top 1.2% of their peers for quality education as judged by their own customers.
All of our instructors strive to make your sailing lessons an incredible experience. It is our goal to offer the best instruction in a safe and relaxed environment. Our instructors are the best…and we are proud to have the awards to prove it!
